Comedy Movies of the 2000’s

The last decade was a great one for funny films. Comedy movies of the 2000’s were plentiful and hilarious. While it’s hard to pick and choose the best ones, here are some that couldn’t get viewers to stop laughing.
1) Wedding Crashers (2005)
Two womanizing playboys, John and Jeremy, find their way into other people’s special days by pretending to be distant relatives and family friends. The guys go through all of the trouble just for a chance at a short-term fling. While the two seem to be pretty good at what they do, they find themselves in some hairy situations that they wish they never got involved in. John and Jeremy eventually find true love and have a happy ending.

2) Pineapple Express (2008)

4) Borat (2006)
This hilarious mockumentary follows Kazakh television personality Borat as he takes a tour around America with hopes of learning more about the greatest country in the world. He finds himself among members of a gay parade, in a rodeo, engaging in a nude wrestling match, and involved in many other random and entertaining scenarios. Very nice.

5) Anchorman: The Legend of Ron Burgundy (2004)
Ron Burgundy is the greatest news reporter in the San Diego area. That is until a new co-worker of the opposite sex begins to turn all heads her way. Burgundy goes to ridiculous lengths to maintain his reputation as San Diego’s best while battling the tough competition.

6) Tropic Thunder (2008)
As the cast of a big-budget war film commences with shooting scenes for the highly-anticipated movie, they find themselves in the midst of a much more serious situation. In the jungles where many of the scenes are to be filmed, real-life gangsters give them problems that force the actors to take on the roles of the characters they portray on the big screen to save their own lives.

7) The 40-Year-Old Virgin (2005)

Nobody likes meeting the parents of their significant other. It can be a nerve-wracking or extremely awkward experience. While not exactly a family movie, Meet The Parents is an enjoyable film that should be viewed with those closest to you.
